Portsmouth Middle School Softball Game Results/Playoffs

Portsmouth Middle School defeated Cole Middle School in the first round of the State 2013 softball playoffs yesterday afternoon, 11-4.  Emma Campbell pitched well for Portsmouth, striking out 11 batters and allowing only 1 hit.  Lucia Billings hit well for Portsmouth, and Ailish Cafferty hit a triple in the 6th inning with 2 strikes to keep Cole at bay. 

On Tuesday, June 4^th, at 3:30 PM, the girls' softball team plays host to Gallagher Middle School in the second round of the State 2013 softball playoffs.  

Portsmouth ended their regular season with a win against Kickemuit, 15-4, on Tuesday, May 21^st, clinching the 1st seed in their division. Megan Lacy went 4 for 5 with 3 RBIs. Jillian Whiteside played a great game in right field, and Katie McGowan played a stellar game at 2nd base.

Portsmouth beat St. Teresa on Friday, May 17^th, 8-3.  Emma Campbell pitched 14
strikeouts.  Kelly Conley went 3 for 5, and Ailish Cafferty played well for Portsmouth.
