I had an opportunity to take an aerial tour around Portsmouth last Friday in the and took a few photos of the boat that is sunk in Island Park Cove, just south of Spectacle Island.Â
I understand that the owner has been identified but has no insurance and no money to remove it. I'm not sure what the next step will be, but if there is any fuel or oil onboard, it will surely start to leak at some point. This is one of the reasons that most towns require proof of insurance before giving out a mooring permit. The boat has been in this condition since last fall. What happens next? Does anyone care?
