Bristol Ambulance In Minor Accident In Portsmouth

An ambulance driver sideswiped a landscaping truck on July 26, according to the accident report.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Bristol ambulance driver was in a minor accident on July 26 near Turnpike and Bristol Ferry roads. According to the police report, Robert Ferguson, 44, of Bristol, sideswiped a landscaping truck when he switched into the right lane. Initially, he didn't realize a collision had occurred. The truck driver, Edward Donahue, 22, of Middletown, stopped him and explained the situation. Both drivers went in person to the Portsmouth police department to report the accident.

Ferguson's ambulance belongs to the Town of Bristol's Fire Department. No one was injured in the collision.
