The project is open to all
creative people who wish to participate! It’s a great opportunity to share
imagery related to the 375th Anniversary of Portsmouth, Rhode
Island. The theme is “My Portsmouth.” The work must be on or attached to a 6” x
12” tile-board. Tile-boards are $10 and available at Portsmouth Arts Guild, Portsmouth
High School Art Department and Annex Comics at 314 Broadway in Newport. All art
media is accepted.

To be included in the
exhibition and sales, all boards need to be completed and returned between
April 14th through 27th. There will be an opening night, Portsmouth’s first
Gallery Night on May 23rd. The exhibition locations are Portsmouth
Arts Guild, Portsmouth Public Library, Portsmouth Town Hall, and the Portsmouth
Publick House. All tiles will be for sale through a silent auction that
continues throughout exhibition dates, and closes on June 26th.

Proceeds are divided as
follows: Artists receive 40%, PAG 30% and HATS 30%. 10- 25 of the 300 tiles
boards produced will be selected for exchange show with Portsmouth England.
The England show opens June 14, 2014.
