Elderly Woman Hospitalized After Car Struck Her Friday Night

Portsmouth police said the victim went to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

PORTSMOUTH, RI—An 83-year-old woman was hit by a car Friday night, Portsmouth Police said. She was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

Lt. George Grassi described her injuries as "non life-threatening."

The accident is still under investigation, he said.
