The Portsmouth Arts Guild Hosts its June Show:Â Pure FantasyÂ
Pure Fantasy is an all-media open show.  Artists are free to interpret the theme however they like and there are no restrictions on media or subject. Â
**All are welcome to join us at Pure Fantasy’s opening reception on Friday, June 8, from 6-8 pm.  This event is free and open to the public.**

Guest juror Kay Ritter will choose the show’s winners.  Ms. Ritter is a Rhode Island resident who has been working as an artist for more than 30 years.  She studied sculpture at RISD but as a painter is primarily self-taught.  In the mid-90s she began painting still life with a classical approach and careful observation of arranged objects.  Her paintings have been exhibited at the RISD Museum, the Arnot Art Museum, the Newport Art Museum, among others.Â
