Join “Two Old Friends” Mac McHale and Emery Hutchins at Portsmouth Free Public Library on Thursday, April 5 at 7 PM for an evening of delightful Irish and American country music. With banjo, guitar, mandolin, concertina, bodran, octave mandolin and vocal harmonies, Two Old Friends tell a story in music of how immigrants came to this country
bringing their melodies and instruments with them. Mac has been well known in Bluegrass music for decades and
has been inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Museum as a pioneer of Bluegrass music. Emery is a well known performer of a variety of different styles of acoustic music; ranging from traditional Irish
tunes to vintage American country music songs. There is truly something for everyone in their lively performance.
This program is funded by the North Family Trust and is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Seating is limited so please call the Library at 683-9457 or stop by to sign up for the program.
