Ham Radio Class: October 7 at 7:00 PM Portsmouth Fire Station
An Amateur Radio Technician Class is being offered to the public beginning on October 7 at 7:00 PM at the Portsmouth Fire Station
Newport County Radio Club is offering another Amateur Radio Technician License Class, beginning Tuesday October 7. Class will run from 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM and will be held at the Portsmouth Fire Station, 2300 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871. There will be a total of six classes on consecutive Tuesdays, followed by an exam on November 18, 2014.
The class is open to all individuals on a space available basis. There is a $10 fee which covers the cost of the student workbook. Students completing the class will pay a $15 exam fee.
The class is designed for students of all ages and does not require prior technical knowledge or significant math skills (if you can add/subtract/multiply/divide with a calculator you are all set). The class covers every possible question that can appear on the exam, and more than 90% of the students who complete the class and take the exam pass it the first time.

To sign up for the class, please answer the questions on the registration page (link below). Your personal information is used only to indicate your interest in the class and you will be contacted directly by the instructor once registration is closed and prior to the start of the class.
