Local Teen Struck, Killed Pedestrian, Cops Say
Robert Walsh, 18, of Tiverton, was at the wheel he struck a pedestrian in Swansea, Mass., according to Massachusetts State Police.

A Tiverton teenager struck and killed a pedestrian in Swansea, Mass. Tuesday night, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Robert Walsh, 18, was driving a 2009 Nissan Versa on Route 195 eastbound near the 4.8-mile marker when he struck 32-year-old Jason Luciano, of Swansea, police said. Luciano was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died.
Walsh and his two passengers were not hurt, police said.

As of Wednesday, Walsh was not charged.
Police did not immediately say what may have caused the crash, which happened just before midnight. They said an investigation was ongoing.
