Man Climbs Old Sakonnet Bridge to take Cell Phone Pics

He was ordered to stay away from the bridge after pleading no contest.

A 27-year-old Fall River, Mass.-man is facing trespassing charges after he allegedly climbed a security fence and walked to the top of the old Sakonnet Bridge to take pictures with his phone.

Police said they were dispatched to the area at around 11 a.m. on June 13 and they found David Joseph Halcisak, of 22 Shove St.,  leaving the prohibited area by climbing the fence.

He reportedly told police that he had been climbing on the old bridge and was on the top of the structure and was taking pictures with his phone. Police reminded him that there were no-trespassing signs all over the place.

He was taken into custody without incident and transported to District Court, where he pleaded no contest to the charge. The case was filed for one year and he was ordered to stay away from the old bridge.
