The weekend was full of events happening around town from the Portsmouth High School cheerleaders' car wash to the Friends of Glen Manor House's "Tea and Pedigree."

The Varsity Cheerleading Squad held a car wash this Saturday at to raise funds for their new team jackets.
The squad, 2011 New England Regional Cheerleading Champions, are looking to raise $2,500 for new team jackets and, judging from their efforts and hard work, they are well on their way.

Also around town this weekend, The Friends of Glen Manor House hosted its second annual Tea Party.

This year's theme was "Tea and Pedigree" in honor of the manor house's original owner, Edith Taylor, a devout dog lover.
About 50 young ladies were treated to a guided tour of the house, canine inspired arts and crafts and a lively lesson in proper tea etiquette and manners.
