Police Log: Fall River Man Arrested For Allegedly Possessing Marijuana

arrested a Fall River man Thursday on charges of marijuana possession and driving on a foreign license. 

John Pacheco, 25, of Fall River, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. after a motor vehicle stop on Turnpike Avenue at Freeborn Street. The vehicle was stopped after police noticed one of its headlights was not working. 

A check revealed Pacheco was operating on a foreign driver's license. His Rhode Island license was suspended, police said. 

Police also discovered a small bag of marijuana in the vehicle's center console. 

Pacheco was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and operating on a foreign license during a suspended license. 

He was later released after appearing before a justice of the peace.
