Police Log: Man Arrested After Allegedly Striking Woman Driver

A Portsmouth man was arrested at his home Wednesday after allegedly striking a woman while she was driving a vehicle.Â
James Lawrence, 35, of 580 Park Ave., was arrested at 6 a.m. The arrest stemmed from an incident that allegedly occurred March 25 at 6:30 p.m.
were called to on East Main Road. A motorist observed Lawrence, a passenger in a vehicle, allegedly strike a 26-year-old woman driver from Townsend, MA.Â

The vehicle, which was being driven by the victim, then pulled into the Clements' Market parking lot.Â
Police obtained an affidavit arrest warrant for Lawrence, who was arrested at his home Wednesday. He was charged with domestic, simple assault.Â
