Police Log: Providence Woman Allegedly Threatens to 'Destroy' Portsmouth Man

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A Providence woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly violating a no contact order. 

Marilyn Jewett, 64, of Providence, was arrested around 9 a.m. after allegedly leaving a message on the voice mail belonging to a 62-year-old Portsmouth man.

The message referred to a recent . She also allegedly said on the message she would "destroy him," according to police. 

Jewett was arrested and charged with violating the no contact order.
