Pop Warner Football Teams Prepare for Season

From kindergarten to high school students, youth football players in Portsmouth practiced for the upcoming season Monday night in the sport fields at Portsmouth High School.

While the high school football team practiced in the fields further back, the Pop Warner teams were divided by age group in the other fields.

The teams, including the littlest players, ran, passed the football around and performed drills orchestrated by coaches. Parents lined the sidelines to watch their children practice.

Pratice for the season began in early August. The first game is scheduled for Aug. 29.
