Portsmouth Man Arrested in Middletown for Allegedly Possessing Pot

Middletown police arrest a Portsmouth man for allegedly possessing marijuana, second offense.

The Middletown Police Department on Monday reported three arrests from the weekend. 

Among them, police arrested Bryan James Leary, 19, of 63 Clear View Ave., Portsmouth, on Sunday around 6:12 p.m.

Leary was arrested for an alleged second offense of possessing marijuana, a felony, after police stopped his car off East Main Road near the Fast Gas service station. The vehicle was stopped after officers say the vehicle's operator didn't use a turn signal.

Police say they found marijuana in the suspect's left front pocket, as well as a pipe and plastic baggie found in the Ford pickup truck.

Police reported they previously arrested Leary on a marijuana possession charge on July 14.
