Portsmouth Pirates Soccer Team to Compete for Rhode Island Cup
The final game will be played on June 25 in Smithfield.

The Portsmouth Pirates girls U14A soccer team is on a roll, qualifying for the Rhode Island Cup finals, according to team organizers.Â
This teams roster is comprised entirely of Portsmouth students. They finished first in the Anchor Division of Rhode Island Super Liga after finishing the regular season with seven wins, no losses and one draw.
The team has since gone on to win the Danvers Invitational Memorial Day Tournament in Danvers, MA. The team went undefeated, playing five matches in three days and beat previously undefeated North Andover, MA 1-0 in the finals. Â

The team continued their undefeated season by winning the SRI Super Liga championship in Burriville this past Monday night by a score of 1-0 against another previously undefeated team from East Greenwich.Â
The girls have now qualified for the Rhode Island Cup, a season ending tournament, to be played on June 25 in Smithfield.
