Portsmouth Police Arrest Little Compton Teen in Connection with Hathaway School Vandalism

Police said 19-year-old Gabriel Asher Munoz of Little Compton vandalised Hathaway School in November.

A 19-year-old Little Compton man is facing charges of vandalism for allegedly spraying graffiti on the exterior of Hathaway School in November.

Gabriel Asher Munoz, of 39 Old Stone Church Road, Little Compton, was arrested Dec. 11 after an investigation by Portsmouth Police.

Police said that sometime overnight on Nov. 5, Munoz used yellow, black and red spray paint to vandalize the building, including portions of the roof, oil tanks, a power box and gymnasium wall.

Police found a spray can about 20 yards from the school and noted that the number 47 had been sprayed on the gym wall and gym door.

As a result of the investigation, Portsmouth Police got a warrant for Munoz’s arrest and he was picked up by Tiverton Police on Dec. 11.
