Portsmouth Police Charge Woman With Distributing Heroin

PORTSMOUTH, RI — Police on Friday arrested Isabel Medeiros, 37 of Fall River, Massachusetts, who is charged with selling heroin outside of the CVS at Turnpike Avenue.

The Portsmouth Police Department started the investigation after a number of recent drug overdoses in the area.

"Surveillance was set up by the detective division after receiving information that Medeiros was in the area with a quantity of heroine for distribution," Detective Lieutenant Michael Arnold said in a press release.

Police then took Medeiros into custody after seeing her making a drug transaction outside of the CVS.
