Portsmouth Police Warn Residents Another Rash of Vehicle Break-Ins
The recent incidents occurred mainly in the neighborhoods off Middle Road and Mill Lane.

After a rash of larcenies from motor vehicles over the weekend, the Portsmouth Police Department is again reminding residents to secure valuables and keep cars locked up at night.
Police said the recent incidents occurred mainly in the neighborhoods off Middle Road and Mill Lane. In some cases, the culprits have smashed windows to get inside the car -- a reminder that merely locking a car isn’t enough and nothing of value should be in sight.
“Please be vigilant and note any suspicious persons and/or vehicles in your neighborhoods,” police said in a post on their Facebook page. “If possible note the person’s description (approximate height, weight, clothing etc.) and vehicle description (make, model, registration state and plate number etc.)“
