RI's Safest Cities & Towns: Safewise's New List

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Portsmouth improved its standing as one of the safest places in the Ocean State. According to Safewise's report, the Town, in fifth place last year, moved up to third safest, knocking Jamestown back to fifth place.

Overall, Rhode Island’s 2017 safest cities reported a total of two murders, with 80% of our cities reporting none, the company said. "No city on our list reported more than three robberies, and 60 percent of them had zero."
