Prudence Island to Get First Paid Fire Chief

The Prudence Island Volunteer Fire Department is recruiting its first paid fire chief.

The part-time position will require about 20 hours per week.

The ideal person would be a firefighter/EMT looking for some work in retirement — or close to retirement.

Compensation and benefits commensurate with experience is being offered. Housing on Prudence Island will be needed.
