Rhode Island DUI Task Force Deploys This Weekend
It will be the second time the task force has deployed this year. Officers charged 11 people with DUI during the first deployment in May.

The Rhode Island DUI Task Force will be deployed this weekend.
It will be the second time the task force has deployed this year. Officers charged 11 people with DUI during the first deployment in May.
Police said this time, there will be about 125 officers and troopers out in 21 communities looking for drunk drivers. The first deployment had about half those numbers.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation’s Office of Highway Safety is funding the initiatives. It’s part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
