The Thunder From Down Under

The Thunder from Down Under, otherwise known as team Australia, took on the USA team Saturday night in the International Polo Series.

The final score was 12-6 with Australia winning this game after a 16-year hiatus from the series.

Team captain Angus Campbell led the visiting team to victory. Patch was present to photograph some of the best plays of the night.

The Newport International Polo Series takes place every Saturday through June, July, August and September.

Tickets to the matches are sold at the gate on the day of the match.  Tailgate picnics on the lawn are welcome with field-side admission of $10 for adults and children, 15 and younger are free. Box seating in the Subscribers Enclosure is also available. 

The Polo Series takes place on the polo grounds of historic Glen Farm, 715 East Main Road.
