Travel Lanes Near New Sakonnet Bridge To Shift Today

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (DOT) will move the traffic pattern on Route 24 today.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (DOT) will shift travel lanes on Route 24N on Thursday, announced DOT. 

On Route 24N, from the Sakonnet River Bridge to Exit 5 (Rte. 138/Rte. 77), a split-lane traffic pattern will be removed and travel lanes will be shifted to the right on Thursday.

Expect alternating lane closures on Route 24N on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction associated with this change.
