Victim Identified in Prudence Island Fire
Firefighters discovered the 83-year-old's body while extinguishing the flames on Thursday night.

The victim killed in a serious house fire on Prudence Island was identified by police on Monday.
The Prudence Island Fire Department responded to the single family home engulfed in flames at 88 Ross Ave. on Thursday around 7 p.m.
Portsmouth Police Department identified the victim as 83-year-old homeowner Norman Medeiros.

Firefighters discovered Medeiros’ body while extinguishing the fire.
Portsmouth Fire Department, Portsmouth Police Department, State Fire Marshals Office and the State Attorney General’s Office are investigating the cause of death and the cause of the fire.
