Highlights from the university's commencement exercises this Sunday.
KINGSTON -- The University of Rhode Island (URI) celebrated its 125th commencement on Sunday afternoon.
Speakers included Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee; URI Hillel director Amy Olson; Woonsocket resident and Rainville Student Employee Leadership Award Winner Valerie Damon-Leduc; and Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark, NJ, and this year's commencement speaker.
