Warwick Man Charged with Felony Drug Possession

Police said they stopped Robert Patrick Faulkner's car after it was clocked doing 65 mph in a 50 mph zone.

PORTSMOUTH, RI -- Robert Patrick Faulkner, 24, of Warwick was arrested around 1:24 a.m. on Thursday.

He was charged with felony drug possession and with misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He also was given a violation for refusing to take a chemical test.

Police allege he was speeding on Route 24, and they also say they suspected he was driving under the influence. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests.

Officers searched his wallet. They said they found a red baggy with "a crystalized substance" thought to be Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, also known as Ecstasy or Molly.
