Whiz Kid: Andrew Perry Completes Reading Challenge
Andrew Perry, a first-grader at Hathaway Elementary School, recently completed a "Journey Through Books" literary challenge.
This week, we spotlight Hathaway Elementary School first-grader Andrew Perry as Portsmouth Patch's Whiz Kid of the Week.

School: Grade 1,
Accomplishment: Andrew recently completed a literary challenge at the school called "Journey Through Books." Students are asked to read at least 100 pages in each literary genre chosen by the school. The genres range from "natural science" to "sports."
Key to Awesomeness: Andrew enjoys playing soccer for the Portsmouth Pirates, as well as basketball, winning all games last season. He also received all "fours" in gym this year, which is equivalent to an "A" grade.
