Whiz Kid: Nathan Janssen Completes Reading Challenge

This week, we spotlight Hathaway Elementary School first grader Nathan Janssen as Portsmouth Patch's Whiz Kid of the Week.

Name: Nathan Janssen
School: Grade 1,
Accomplishment: Nathan recently completed a literary challenge at the school called "Journey Through Books." Students are asked to read at least 100 pages in each literary genre chosen by the school. The genres range from "natural science" to "sports."

Key to Awesomeness: Nathan also says he enjoys playing baseball at the YMCA as a member of the blue team. He was also selected to start this year's Flag Day ceremony at Hathaway Elementary School.
