Whiz Kid: Sasha Hinckley to Serve as Student Ambassador in Australia
Sasha Hinckley, a student at Portsmouth Middle School, will serve as the People to People ambassador in Australia this summer.
This week, we spotlight fifth-grader Sasha Hinckley as Portsmouth Patch's Whiz Kid of the Week. Hinckley will be heading to Australia this summer as a People to People ambassador.

- Sasha has been chosen to serve as the People to People ambassador in Australia this summer. People to People is a program, founded by President Dwight Eisenhower, with the premise that people of a nation make better ambassadors of peace than government officials.
- What makes Sasha awesome: Sasha will travel to Australia for two weeks in July with other delegates from Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and meet with politicians and citizens. Sasha is currently raising $6,000 to fund the trip. This fifth-grader is also a squash player.
