2 Providence Men Charged With Delivering Fentanyl To Undercover Cop: Police

The two men were also charged with controlled substance conspiracy, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Two Providence men were charged with delivering fentanyl to an undercover officer, police said.

Adelin Figueroa, 34, and Francisco Martinez, 35, were arrested Thursday by Rhode Island State Police detectives, Drug Enforcement Administration agents and the state police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, the state police said in a media release.

Figueroa was charged with delivery of fentanyl to an undercover police officer, delivery of cocaine to an undercover police officer, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and controlled substance conspiracy, the release said.

Martinez was charged with delivery of fentanyl to an undercover police officer, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and controlled substance conspiracy, according to the release.

Figueroa and Martinez were processed and arraigned at the Lincoln Barracks, the release said, then taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions pending morning arraignments in Sixth District Court.
