PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was charged with stealing more than $5,000, police said.
Jared Smith, 40, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. and charged with larceny of more than $5,000 but less than $10,000, felony conspiracy, misdemeanor conspiracy, vandalism, and injury to public property, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Smith was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and "held overnight as a bail violator pending arraignment at Third Division District Court," the release said.
