Providence Man Wanted On Felony Assault Charge Apprehended: Cops

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man wanted on a felony assault charge was apprehended, police said.

Jesse Robertson, 49, was arrested Wednesday by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force on a warrant charging him with felony assault, the state police said in a media release.

Robertson was wanted by the Smithfield Police Department, according to the release.

"Mr. Robertson was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Smithfield Police Department," the release said.
