PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was charged with driving under the influence following a motor vehicle crash, police said.
James Gomes, 49, was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday following the crash on Appian Street in Providence, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Gomes was also charged with refusing to submit to a chemical test, the release said.
Gomes was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a Sixth Division District Court date, according to police.
