Wanted Providence Woman Jailed: Cops

PROVIDENCE, RI — A wanted Providence woman was arrested and jailed, police said.

Diaemond Vargas Diaz, 32, was arrested shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday on a warrant charging her with failing to appear in court on a fugitive from justice case, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Vargas Diaz was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Women's Intake Center, according to the release.
