Fox Point man beautifies neighborhood bus stop: 'It came from his heart' (wpri.com) β An 81-year-old Fox Point resident has transformed the bus stop at Wickenden and Ives into a colorful, welcoming spot for neighbors and seniors at Fox Point Manor. His flowers, artwork, and signs have inspired others in Providence to pitch in, turning the stop into a small community hub where strangers chat, relax, and feel more connected while they wait for the bus.

Police: Man stabbed brother in Providence (wpri.com) β Police say a 49-year-old man was arrested after his 48-year-old brother was stabbed during a domestic incident on Westfield Street in Providence Friday night. The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, though his condition isn't yet known, and detectives are still investigating what led up to the attack.

DS Feature: Cleaning Out the Inbox β September 4th, 2026 (dyingscene.com) β A Providence melodic punk band, Follow Thru, is gearing up for an album release show at The Parlour in their hometown on September 19. American Cheese Society Announces New Dates and Location for 2027 Annual Conference (morningagclips.com) β Providence will host the American Cheese Society's 2027 annual conference at the Rhode Island Convention Center from July 13β16, bringing hundreds of cheese professionals and enthusiasts into the city. Organizers shifted the event from Madison to better fit the industry calendar, and say Providence's culinary scene and appreciation for local producers make it an ideal home for the gathering.
