Brown Quarterback Getting Shot At NFL Dream With Philadelphia Eagles

E.J. Perry was the Ivy League Player of the Year as a dual threat quarterback. He combined to throw and run for 30 touchdowns in 10 games.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Brown University star quarterback E.J. Perry didn't get drafted Saturday, but he's still going to get a chance to prove himself in the NFL.

Perry, of Andover, Massachusetts, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN's Field Yates reported.

Perry played high school football at Andover High School before committing to Boston College. He transferred to Brown University in 2019 and became the starting quarterback.

In 2021, Perry threw for 3,033 yards and 23 touchdowns in just 10 games, earning the Ivy League Player of the Year award. He also was a great dual threat for the Bears, rushing for 402 yard sand seven touchdowns.

With four quarterbacks on the Eagle's roster, Perry faces an uphill battle to make the team, but he does offer intriguing versatility.

Some draft experts have wondered if a position switch is in the cards for Perry, as his athleticism may make him more suited to play wide receiver at the NFL level.
