Providence Man Arrested On Gun And Drug Charges: Cops
The Providence man was also wanted on charges of felony assault, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested on gun and drug charges, police said.
Emanuel Costa Jenkins, 21, was already wanted on charges of felony assault, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy when he was arrested about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force on charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a controlled substance, the state police said in a media release.
The prior charges were in connection wth a Pawtucket Police Department case, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force," the release said. "Mr. Costa Jenkins was taken into custody without incident, processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to members of the Pawtucket Police Department."
