Providence Man Indicted For Gruesome Murder: Dismembering Body
The Providence County Grand Jury indicted David Deleon, 20, for murder and mutilation of a human body.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A suspected marijuana dealer will be tried for murder and other crimes, the state Attorney General's office said this week. On Wednesday, the Providence Grand Jury indicted David Deleon, 20, of Providence. He is charged with the November 20, 2016 murder of Dakota Gosselin.
According to the Attorney General's office, Deleon allegedly shot and killed Gosselin in Providence and then tried to get rid of the body by dismembering it. He is charged with one count of murder, one count of discharge of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, one count of failure to report a death, one count of possession of a firearm without a license, one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, one count of possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, and one count of mutilation of a human body, based on incidents that took place in Providence.
The alleged incidents took place in Providence and Lincoln. Providence Police led the investigation with assistance from Lincoln Police and the Rhode Island State Police. Deleon is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court before Judge Robert D. Krause on May 31, 2017.
