1 Killed In Coventry House Fire
The one person h0me at the time of the early morning fire was trapped in the house and killed.
COVENTRY, RI — A resident was killed in an early Sunday morning house fire.
Firefighters were called out to the residential structure fire on Audubon Lane shortly after 1:30 a.m., said Hopkins Hill Fire Chief John Potvin.
Firefighters received a report that an occupant was trapped inside the burning building and battled the blaze as they searched for the resident.

A pet dog was rescued from the fire but the trapped person perished.
The deceased remains officially unidentified.
