Gary Tavares, 65, was arrested by Rhode Island State Police troopers shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday on a warrant charging him with vandalism or malicious injury to property, the state police said in a media release.
The charge stemmed from a state police Gaming Enforcement Unit investigation, police said.
"The arrest was the result of the subject responding to the State Police — Hope Valley Barracks," the release said.
Tavares was taken into custody, processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a court date, according to police.
