Camp JORI: New solar array generates savings, cuts CO2 emissions (jewishrhody.com) — Camp JORI in South Kingstown has switched on a 384-panel solar array expected to cover most of the camp’s electricity, saving an estimated $25,000–$30,000 a year and sharply cutting carbon emissions. Those savings can be reinvested into scholarships and programming for local campers, while excess power sold back to the grid will bring in additional revenue with minimal environmental disruption on-site.
   

4. College Notes: SK grad DiGioia off to strong start at RIC (independentri.com) — A recent South Kingstown High School graduate is already making her mark on Rhode Island College’s women’s soccer team, earning steady minutes and scoring early in her freshman season.
