80-Year-Old Woman Struck By Car In Tiverton CVS Parking Lot

The incident occurred Thursday morning.

A car pulling out of a parking space at reportedly stuck an 80-year-old Tiverton woman Thursday morning.

According Lt. Bruce Reimels, the accident occurred around 10:40 a.m. at the CVS at 500 Main Road. The woman, whose name is not being released, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for the extent of her injuries.

Evidently, a 2011 Honda CRV, operated by Thomas Nasser, 66, of Tiverton, was pulling out of a parking space and struck the woman, who was reportedly walking behind his vehicle, according to Lt. Patrick Jones.

The accident remains under investigation.
