11-Year-Old Hit By Motorboat While Swimming In Nanaquaket Pond: Tiverton Police

TIVERTON, RI — An 11-year-old was struck by a motorboat while swimming in Nanaquaket Pond Sunday afternoon, police said.

The child was injured and the boat took off, heading north, the Tiverton Police Department said in a social media post.

"The boat is described to be 20 feet in length with a red/burgundy hull and was occupied with 5-6 male and female teenage occupants," the post said.

The boat was located Sunday, according to police.
