• Tiverton High School football is back (eastbayri.com) — Tiverton fans packed the stands Friday night as the high school football team played its first home game of the season under the lights, despite a tough 45–14 loss to Smithfield. A late 48-yard touchdown pass from sophomore backup quarterback Mason Cavaco to first-year receiver Isaiah McGowan, plus gritty play from senior leader Tyler Reindeau, left coaches and fans optimistic about the Tigers' future.
