BMX Gold Medalist to Speak to Wilbur McMahon Students About Bullying
All students are encouraged to "Go Purple" on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in support of the Project Purple initiative.

BMX gold medalist Kevin Robinson is coming to Wilbur McMahon School to talk to students about bullying.
Robinson, a professional BMX rider and Rhode Island native, will speak to grades 5 through 8 and K through 4 during two separate school assemblies to promote anti-bullying as part of the Little Compton Prevention Coalition’s Project Purple initiative, Wilbur McMahon School announced on its website.

Project Purple encourages youths and teenagers to stand up to substance abuse in school and to make good decisions.

Students are asked to “Go Purple” and wear purple items of clothing on Wednesday, Feb 25, the day of the assembly.
Robinson will give age-appropriate, anti-bullying messages to students in grades 5 through 8 at 9:45 a.m. and students K through 4 at 12:45 p.m.
