After living in the South for a number of years, it is so refreshing to live in a state that not just accepts, but welcomes all of humanity. I had the privilage to attend Rhode Island Gay Pride this afternoon (through this evening) in downtown Providence; the 30th anniversary of the event! Corporations from AT&T, Shaw's and TD Bank, to religeous groups like the UUA and MCC, to mom-and-pop establishments were all out at the festival. What a great and affirming day! And there is a night parade, too!
