Wellness clinics offer blood pressure screenings along with other vital signs and periodic cholesterol and glucose screenings. The nurses from <a href="https://visitingnursehh.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Visiting Nurse Home &amp; Hospice</a> can also relay general health information, review medications, and answer health-related questions.

Class led by a&nbsp;Certified American Heart Association&nbsp;Instructor
Course only: $25Course with official AHA Completion card: $35 

Participants will learn essential skills for responding to medical emergencies, including:

•How to recognize&nbsp;Sudden Cardiac Arrest&nbsp;and perform high-quality chest compressions.
•How to recognize the early warning signs of a&nbsp;heart attack&nbsp;and manage the emergency until EMS arrives.
•How to identify the sudden symptoms of a&nbsp;stroke.
•Safe steps for assisting a person who is choking.
•Step-by-step use of an&nbsp;Automated External Defibrillator (AED)&nbsp;along with standard resuscitation techniques.
This event will take place in the Upper Hall at&nbsp;Amicable Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, located at 3736 Main Road, Tiverton.
We invite every one in our community to join us for this important clinic, organizers said. “Learning how to prevent illness, recognize an emergency, and respond appropriately can help us care for ourselves and each other.”

It’s almost time for our annual&nbsp;Holy Ghost Harvest Festival!&nbsp;Bring your family and friends and join us for a wonderful weekend of&nbsp;food, fun, fellowship, games, prizes, and activities for the whole family.
There will be plenty to enjoy throughout the festival, including&nbsp;delicious food and treats, games and activities, and amazing giveaway baskets.
<h3>Special Guests — Saturday Only!</h3>
On&nbsp;Saturday, we are pleased to welcome the&nbsp;Tiverton Police Department&nbsp;and the&nbsp;North Tiverton Fire Departmentto our Harvest Festival.
🚓 The&nbsp;Tiverton Police Department&nbsp;will offer&nbsp;child car-seat installation and safety inspections, giving parents and grandparents an opportunity to make sure their children's car seats are installed properly. Young people will also have an opportunity to see a police cruiser up close.
🚒 The&nbsp;North Tiverton Fire Department&nbsp;will be with us with fire apparatus for our young people to see and explore.
It will be a great&nbsp;“Touch-a-Truck” experience&nbsp;for our younger visitors!
Please note: The Tiverton Police and North Tiverton Fire Departments will be with us on Saturday only.
We are grateful to our local police officers and firefighters for taking part in our festival and for all they do for our community.

Two&nbsp;$50 Early-Bird Prizes&nbsp;will be drawn on&nbsp;October 1&nbsp;from tickets returned by that date. There will also be&nbsp;two $50 prizes for our top ticket sellers.
All remaining&nbsp;raffle stubs and donations are due October 19.&nbsp;For raffle information, please contact&nbsp;Linda in the parish office.
