One person was sent to the hospital Wednesday with minor injuries after a car crashed into an unoccupied U.S. Postal Service truck in Tiverton.
Emergency crews responded to the area of 1060 Main Road at 12:30 p.m. for a report of an accident, according to Josh Ferreira. The mail carrier was reportedly out of the delivery truck. Then the car hit the truck, Ferreira said. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Ferreira said the Tiverton police are handling the accident investigation.
